Stępień. - Kielce : University of Technology, 2007. - s. 291-296Streszczenie: The paper presents the method for surface roughness assessment of microfinished steel and brass shafts by measurement of light scattered from rough surface. The cylindrical surfaces of the shafts were machined using the microfinishing films. Microfinishing is an abrasive process that allows to remove defects and microscopic burrs left by the grinding operation. We did the stylus measurements of surface topography and measurements of scattered light intensity. Images od scattered light were analysed using a special software Image-Pro Plus by Media Cybernetics. The software allows us to measure the geometric and densitometric parameters of acquired images.
