The measurement is rapid and can measure wide range of materials. Nonetheless, the range of spatial and vertical is very limited. It makes difficulties in tool wear measurement. Difficulties are the result of very developed wear land surface and complicated shape. In the paper, the Talysurf CCI 600 was to measure tool cutting part geometry, flank wear and roughness of the cutting edge.
