The cylindrical surfaces of the shafts were machined using the microfinishing films. Microfinishing is an abrasive process that allows to remove defects and microscopic burrs left by the grinding operation. We did the stylus measurements of surface topography and measurements of scattered light intensity. Images od scattered light were analysed using a special software Image-Pro Plus by Media Cybernetics.
