The paper presents project of reprogrammable chip-FPGA, designed with current-mode gates - novel digital gates operating with constant, continous power supply current. Such continous supply is a perfect one for analog-digital circuits, which are located on the same single die. Switching of digital part of the chip don't disturb analog part. Based on the proposed approaches to minimizing logic functions and designing digital current - mode circuits, the current-mode prototype of Spartan2 FPGA chip has been designed. Configuration memory of this uses standard gates because configuration is constant during normal work of the chip and doesn't disturb analog part of circuits. Therefore configuration bit stream generated by standard Xilinx software is acceptable. Simulation results have shown the correct work of proposed current-mode field programmable gate array. Designed circuit has been prepared and verified for realization as full-custom ASIC CMOS-chip.
