520 _aA rotationally periodic continuous analog model is considered in order to enhance the understanding of the vibratory response of bladed disk assembly. The analogy uses a series of transversely and longitudinally vibrating continuous segments. The segments are arranged in a rotationally periodic pattern, with coupling between each other accomplished by suspension elements. Analytical expressions for the system eigenfrequencies and eigenfunctions are found. Results in the case of free vibrations of a perfect periodic system are presented.
